After a wonderful summer in Indonesia busy performing and studying, I'm back in London ready to resume with my regular candle-lit gong baths this week plus some new sessions too...
The weekly Sunday gong baths in the gorgeous Hubert Grove space in Clapham North begin again this coming Sunday 9th September. And the fortnightly Monday gong baths at the beautiful Narthex in Balham resume on the 17th. This Sunday is already nearly fully booked so get in touch ASAP if you're interested.
Lots of people tell me how much they enjoy the kundalini chants we sometimes do in the gong baths and that they'd like to do more. So I'm starting up monthly chanting classes, on Monday evenings at the Narthex in Balham. First one will be on 24th September. Open to all, including complete beginners. Special price for anyone who's attended one of my gong baths in the previous 2 weeks.
The other new thing this Autumn (apart from this website of course!) is the intensive Introduction to Therapeutic Sound workshop that I'll be running on Sunday 14th October. Open to all, especially: people who've attended my gong baths and are curious about the instruments and how to play them; people who are thinking about getting their own gong/singing bowl/etc; and community musicians, music teachers etc who are interested in how they might use therapeutic sound in their work. The workshop will be very hands-on, with a focus on deep listening and experiential learning. With a maximum of 8 participants you'll get lots of opportunity to play, explore, ask questions and share ideas.
Details of all sessions and workshops are on the Schedule Page of this website.
And I'll be continuing to offer 1-2-1 therapeutic sound sessions so do get in touch if you're interested (more info here).
... and on top of all this, I've got a few interesting performances coming up: an Eternity Bleeps gig this coming Saturday 15th September at the Colourscape Festival on Clapham Common (my first gig inside a sculpture!), a 4-hour wayang (shadow puppet performance accompanied by Javanese gamelan) in Cardiff on 21st September, a Southbank Gamelan Players gig also in Cardiff on 23rd September, and another Southbank Gamelan Players gig on Saturday 24th November in Kassel in Germany. It's always lovely when people come along to gigs and say hi!
