On Midsummer evening, a few of us took the gongs and crystal singing bowls over onto Clapham Common, for our 5th annual summer solstice gong bath. I didn’t publicise the gong bath as an event, as it is still illegal to organise outside events, but nevertheless around 40 people came along on the off-chance that it would be happening, plus a few passers-by were drawn in. It was the first time we’d seen each other for months, and although we all kept our distance from each other there was a powerfully strong feeling of connection and community between us. Unlike my regular gong baths, the summer solstice occasions are not so much about creating a gong bath for the benefit of the people there. Rather they are more about creating powerful positive vibrations to send out into the universe, and those of us there in attendance are part of that creation. This year’s event was just as magical and special as previous years, with the additional joy of being part of a physical community, even for just a short time, after so long in isolation. Some beautiful pictures were taken, here are a few:
Thanks to everyone who came and made this such a beautiful evening in these challenging times!
